The Cost-Conscious School Board

As financial turmoil engulfs the investment community and spills over into every sector of the economy, school board members and administrators are resorting to fresh strategies to preserve academic offerings, sport programs, maintenance projects, and new facility plans. When searching to trim expenses, don’t overlook communication costs.
In this case, I’m writing about the tools and services that everyone uses to communicate, not about your public information/communications office. You want to let your community know about the wonderful things happening in your district, but you should be sure that you are doing so in a cost-effective manner.
