For the three top winners in this year’s Magna Awards, ingenuity proved to be the defining factor in finding creative solutions to difficult problems.

The common thread in the districts’ achievement is each school system’s determination to do more with less in tough economic times. Each year, one district from each enrollment category (under 5,000; 5,000 to 20,000; and 20,000 and above) is presented with the Grand Prize by the editors of American School Board Journal in cooperation with Sodexo School Services.
