April Adviser

0408 Adviser Image What would you do if a former union rep was elected to the board?

The former president of the district's teachers union, with whom the school board had had contentious relations, is elected to the board and wants to oust the superintendent. How should the board handle the situation?

The president should speak to the new board member about his role on the board.
The rest of the board should ostracize the new member.
The board should investigate the new member's claims against the superintendent.
